What can I bring in my carry-on luggage?
You may pack in your carry-on luggage up to 100ml (3.4 Oz) products such as beverages, shampoo, hair spray or gel, toothpaste, sun tanning lotions, liquid cosmetics, lotions and aerosols. They should be placed in a 1 liter or 8 x 7.5 inches clear plastic bag.
Beside these items you may carry: baby formula or breast milk and baby juices (only if you travel with infants), liquids, gels and aerosols acquired after the inspection area, prescribed medication, insulin and other over the counter medications not exceeding 100 ml or 3.4 Oz, eye care products, medication for diabetics with medical certification, solid cosmetics, personal care products such as lip color, and solid deodorant.
Note: Passengers can carry Duty Free products, which will be handed to passengers at the airplane’s entrance.

What is the difference between the by weight and by piece systems?
Usually, airlines allow first class passengers to check up to 30 kilos and coach passengers 25 kilos in domestic flights, in accordance with the regulations.
For international flights passengers are allowed to check a certain number of bags.
Besides their checked bags passengers can carry one or two light weight items with them such as, shopping bag, handbag, laptop computer, photo camera, etc.

What type of compensation would I receive for lost luggage? Do I need to provide a certification for the value of the lost items?
In accordance with the Montreal Convention, and the regulations applied in the countries signing the agreement, the airline’s liability for lost luggage is 1,000 Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) per passenger. The responsibility limits do not imply an immediate compensation for the maximum value.
The airline’s responsibility will only correspond to the value of the damage, if the checked or carry-on luggage is value has been declared, accepted by the airline and with previous payment of additional amount.
The Montreal Convention was implemented in June 28, 2004. It is applied to the companies of the country that has signed the agreement in regard to the transportation of passengers and their luggage, and to companies of countries that have abstain to signed the agreement serving international flights between two points in the following countries: European community countries, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Colombia, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Gambia, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Mexico, Namibia, Nigeria, New Zeeland, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Syria, Tanzania, Rumania, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Tonga.

Which items are forbidden?
Mexican and International Aeronautic Authorities forbid arms, objects and substances listed on the Fire Arms and Explosives Law and others items consider dangerous for public air transportation at the restricted areas: boarding gates and airplanes.

If the person underage is traveling accompanied by adults, he/she will need a passport and corresponding visa.
If the person underage is traveling alone, he/she should check-in accompanied by an adult with official identification, who will signed the proper documentation. The person underage will also need a passport and corresponding visa.

How much would and infant pay for and individual seat?
Each airline has a specific policy for infants traveling.
In some cases an infant traveling in an individual seat will pay the minor fare with the discount applicable to the route. If two infants are traveling with an adult, in some cases the second infant will pay the minor fare with the discount applicable to the route.

Mi child has to travel but we can’t travel with him. Can he fly alone? Would someone from the crew assist him?
Unaccompanied minors are allowed to travel with proper documentation signed by the parents or guardians and if an adult will receive them at the arriving airport. Minors, under the age of 12, will be assisted by a member of the crew. All airlines will charge for their unaccompanied minor services.

Can I travel with a domestic pet?
Guide and service dogs, as well as other service animals (medical certification required), will travel free of charge, with the passenger, and will not be considered as luggage. The dog should have muzzle, collar and leash.
Some airlines allow passenger to flight with their pets, if the dog meets certain height and weight requirements.
Please, remember that there are restrictions for the import of animals into several countries. It is the responsibility of the passenger to contact the country of destination and provide proper documentation.
How far in advance should I be at the airport?
Domestic flights: You should be at the airport 1 hour before your flight.
International flights: You should be at the airport 2 hour before your flight.

Can I travel being pregnant? Up to what month is it safe to travel?
Airlines recommend talking to your doctor before traveling. If you are 7 months pregnant or more, you need provide a signed letter absolving the airline of any responsibility, as well as a medical certification confirming the stage of your pregnancy and your health conditions.
It is not allowed to travel 7 days before or after childbirth.

I am physically disabled passenger and need assistance to travel. Do I need to notify the airport in advance? Is there an additional charge?
I need to travel with an ill passenger. Can he travel? Under which conditions?
It depends on the type of illness. Some ill passengers are able to flight normally. However, ask your doctor if you have recently have surgery, a heart attack, or if you have respiratory problems, sinusitis, ear problems or nasal congestions.
You should inform the airline at the moment you purchase your ticket. Sometimes the airline insurance decides if the ill passenger is able to fly, and under which conditions. If the passenger needs a cot he/she must be accompanied by someone. In these cases, ticket rates may vary.
