OMA is committed to care the environment and for this purpose performs actions to mitigate and compensate the environmental impacts resulting from airport service activities and construction expansions. The priority of these actions is consistent with our compliance reference frame and environmental responsibility.
OMA identifies and evaluates both environmental aspects and impacts resulting from its processes considering the severity of the effects and probability of the occurrence of an event.
Significant Environmental Aspects
OMA accounts with the Environmental Quality Certificate issued by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA) for its 13 airports. This distinction is obtained in recognition of the implemented actions to improve environmental quality in the field of water, air, soil, and subsoil, handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, electricity and training.
Our integrated Management System allows us to establish environmental goals and a framework for the achievement of such. In 2011, we reached the ISO 14001:2004 Certificate in a multisite scheme for our 13 airports, which provides us of a new methodology for auto evaluation, and confirm compliance and consistency with our environmental policy.
